When you place an order with us, we will ask for your name, e-mail address and/or phone number and the delivery address so that we can process your order efficiently, and contact you if necessary. We will also need to know your credit card details, including the name and address of the credit card holder, so we can process your payment.

When you visit our website we will automatically collect non-personal details like your type of operating system and browser used to access our site and the name of your internet service provider. This is only so that we can make sure you can use the site without any problems and so that we can measure the number of people who visit us.

Cookies are used in this site only within the checkout page. For your convenience, the cookie placed on your computer simply retains your contact details locally so you do not have to re-enter them should you want to modify the contents of your shopping basket or if you wish to order from us again at some time in the future. We do not use cookies to track your purchasing habits, or any part of the purchasing process. It you choose not to accept the cookie, it will not affect your ability to purchase from us.

Apart from this, we will not collect any sensitive data or personal information about you when you enter our site to browse. When you order from us for the first time, we will ask you if you are willing to be added to our own mailing list so that we can contact you occasionally with regard to new products or special offers, but if you say no, we will respect that. We may ask what you think of our products, and where you heard about Music Room Direct, but if you choose to answer, we will keep your information private, and only use it to improve our service to you.

We will never pass on your details to any other company so that they can hassle you with junk mail. We're sure you get enough of that already.

You can order on-line with confidence - all orders placed on our secure order form are encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and can't be seen by anyone except us. The personal information that we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy, the Data Protection Act and UK law.

All credit card payments are processed by HSBC with whom we hold a Merchant Account and Protx, the secure payment solutions provider.

For stock items, you may cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch, and you will receive a full refund. For bespoke, your 50% deposit is non -refundable in the event of you changing your mind and cancelling the order while the item is being made, or after it is completed. We will of course refund your deposit in full if we are unable to supply the item you have ordered for any reason.

We sincerely hope you will be happy with your order, but if anything is wrong, please phone or e-mail us to let us know. Providing you have done everything you could to look after your product, we will always do our very best to resolve the problem to your satisfaction, with a refund, repair or exchange depending on your preference. If you simply change your mind about keeping your order, you can return it within 3 months (at your own expense) and receive a full refund providing the item is unused and undamaged by you.

With very large or heavy items, simply returning them may be impractical and expensive for you, so please talk to us so that we can resolve the problem together.
